Nicholl Skatepark: Richmond, CA

Brad Siedlecki worked with the local skaters to create what the community was asking for. A real “street” based skatepark that encompases natural urban terrain.

This 10,000 sq.ft. skatepark was designed within the existing park trail system and has all the basics for street skateboarding.

Skatepark Location: City of Richmond, CA
Project Size: 10,000 square feet
Project Description: Concrete Skate Plaza
Project Duration: Jan. 2009 – Oct. 2009
Project Budget: $300,000

Project Address: 3230 MacD0nald Ave, Richmond, CA 94804

Project Contact: Anthony Norris – Parks & Landscaping Superintendent / City of Richmond

E-Mail from Assistant to the Parks Superintendent:

“Brad the park has been wonderful. We have even observed young people with brooms sweeping the area of debris. I cannot think of another project in the City with such success. Not even the $3.1 mil- lion dollar swim center will get the use of this $300,000 skate park plaza. It is a place for people of all ages to come (free) and exercise, gather, bond and just have fun. There are those in the commu- nity that want to say unfriendly comments but the truth is in the use. Thanks again Brad for the RAD (ha ha) design.” – Sharon West

E-Mail from Local Skater:
